Debut vs milestone birthday: coverage differences
A debut photographer in the Philippines must anticipate scripted segments. Milestone birthdays (7th, 50th, 60th) may skip cotillion but often include speeches, AV presentations, and surprise numbers. Match crew size to program complexity:
- Simple dinner (under 50 guests): 1 photographer + 1 videographer
- Full debut with 18 pairs dance: 2 photographers or 1 photographer + 2 video angles
- Large hotel ballroom: add floor manager or coordinator for entourage lining

Building one brief for the whole creative team
The biggest time-saver for families is a single event brief shared with photographer, videographer, host, and coordinator. Include:
- Program run sheet with exact times (grand entrance, cotillion, 18 roses, candles, speeches)
- VIP table plan and who must appear in formal photos
- Theme, color palette, and any LED wall graphics
- Surprise segments the host should not announce early

Host + photo-video alignment
Your emcee controls pacing. Brief them to pause after major segments so photographers can capture applause reactions. If you booked a same-day edit (SDE), the host should know when the AV team needs quiet for audio capture during the highlight playback.
For bilingual programs (Hiligaynon + English), confirm pronunciation of guest names with the host at least one week ahead — it saves awkward retakes on highlight films.
Capiz and Roxas City venue considerations
Many celebrations move between home prep, church thanksgiving, and evening reception halls in Roxas City or municipal gymnasiums in Cuartero. Factor travel time into coverage hours. Gym venues may have harsh overhead lighting — ask if your team brings bounce flash or continuous lights for skin tones.
